
A couple months ago, someone taught me newlyweds used to plant sycamore
trees on both sides of a walkway leading to their house, then join them
together to symbolize two becoming one. Today I saw it for the first

1 of 2 different bee/insect hotels in Cuddy Gardens. These will never
stop being fascinating. Also the “roof” having a green roof of sedums
is a nice touch.
(Note to self; the roofing soil mix was gravely/gritty, probably for sharp drainage

This strange little dude popped up in my garden last night (inland
Eastern Cape, South Africa). Looks like a stinkhorn, but no smell. Found here

Cursèd plants of the Sunset District:
shriveled, possibly a tongue, full of snails. I’m certain that if I
touched this I would be sucked into a shadow dimension.
