The Cordyceps Fungus
This parasitic fungus preys on insects, slowly invading and
overtaking its host. Some Cordyceps species can exact a degree of mind
control on its victim, forcing them to climb up high in their last
moments so the Cordyceps’ spores can fall down on more victims below.

ryce: I’m pretty sure we came across some kind of moth (Luna?) while we were out picking things in the gardens. It looked cool but didn’t have large wings (yet?)

Luna Moth (Actias luna)
The luna is a very elegant looking silk moth. Larvae feed on sweet gum, hickory, walnut and persimmon.
